Stewardship Masterclass: Stewardship Beyond Equities

Influencing risks across all asset classes is an important part of investor stewardship. Principle 4 of the Aotearoa New Zealand Stewardship Code, ‘Be engaged’, specifically encourages signatories to engage across different asset classes and jurisdictions. To support the development of this practice, the Code brought together global leaders in investor stewardship to discuss their stewardship strategies across asset classes beyond just equities.

This Masterclass focuses on sharing practical insights and case studies into how investors can approach stewardship within these asset classes, such as what does engagement look like across different assets, and how do you approach collaboration and escalation?

Panellists include:

  • Alison Chan, Investment Director – Sustainable Finance, Metrics Credit Partners (Australia)

  • Ghislaine Nadaud, Director Sustainable Investing, Robeco (Singapore)

  • Laith Cahill, Head of Stewardship Research, IIGCC (London)

  • Moderator: Jackson Rowland, Director, Aotearoa New Zealand Stewardship Code

The first half of the Masterclass is available to the public, and can be viewed below.
