First annual Stewardship Review is released

We are pleased to release the first Aotearoa New Zealand Stewardship Review. Titled ‘Investors Stepping Up’, this Review summarises the various investor stewardship activity happening in New Zealand during the first full year of the Stewardship Code. Investors certainly are stepping up, with managers of majority of New Zealand’s assets under management signed up to the Code, and majority of those releasing some form of stewardship reporting in 2023.

At the same time, as the first full year of the Code, this year sets the benchmark, setting a bar for New Zealand to build from. With much more stewardship reporting expected in 2024, we are looking forward to seeing this happen. You can read more in the full report available here.
